Loss of functionality when new updates released

I've been waiting to post to see if the issues I'm having with Garmin connect would be rectified in subsequent updates.  They haven't.  The issues I see is that starting about a year ago updates actually decreased the functionality and usability of Garmin Connect.  My main concerns are:

1. Most of what I track is biking.  I both mountain bike and road cycle and want to track each separately.  I used to be able to do that easily in Reports because I like to see how I compare not just on a year by year basis, but on a year to date basis.  When I use reports they used to allow segmentation by cycling type like in activities, but now you are limited to just Cycling.

2.  As I said above I use reports to track where I am to date compared to past years.  That used to be easy when using Custom Dates in reports because you could use arrows to change year and month as in most calendar applications and also directly type in dates.  Now you must scroll through each month to get to the year, month and date you want to use.  So for example if I want to compare stats from current year to date  to July 15, 2018 I must start with July 2019 and scroll back month by month to January 1, 2018 for the start date and then do the same thing to go back to July 15, 2018 for the end date.  It's even worse if I want to compare same date range for two, three or more years ago.  I don't know who the genius was who thought it was a good idea to change from the way it was before this change to where it is today.  I can't believe anybody in their right mind would think this is an improvement.

3.  They've also limited they types and number of columns you can have in activities.  This used to be more robust as well.

I'd like to know if anyone else shares my thoughts on these issues and if Garmin can please put back the functionality they've taken away.  Thanks.
