OSM Mapping Detail - Garmin Coneect Web

Can anyone explain why the OSM maps in Garmin connect are less detailed than all other websites e.g Strava, and without the possibility of adding terrain layers in Garmin Connect?? Am I doing something wrong???

Looks like they just chosen that map style. Map images are served from: https://connectosm16.azureedge.net/... so apart from style, changes made to OSM can be visible here later.

It works only directly, it just serves map images specially for Connect and looks like there are no options to change style.

Some way, to see other map style - is to export an activity to GPX file and open in additional program.

GPX Editor 1.7.14:

JOSM 15238:
https://josm.openstreetmap.de/

Using JOSM, you can also edit OSM and make maps more accurate - adding missing paths. Which can be done easier, as you can see your GPS track on the map.
