I'm in the process of transitioning from Fitbit to Garmin, but I'm not doing the full switch until next week. On Tuesday, I set up and tested out my new Fenix 5 Plus, but didn't disable the step tracking on it right away. As I import my Fitbit data, that Tuesday is the only day that will not show any steps at all in Garmin Connect. I get no error on the import. My best guess here is that since step tracking was enabled on the F5+ for a few minutes (I didn't even step once before turning that off), it has created a conflict and will not recognize my Fitbit import for that day. Pure speculation, but that seems like a reasonable guess.
So, is that day a loss for me? It is a little annoying as it was a high count step count day. I know I should probably just move on with life, but if there is a way to correct this, I'd love to do so. Like, if there was a way to wipe out that day completely so that it would take my import and recognize the steps. Even if I have to figure out the API, that would be fine.
Aside from that, I'm so happy to be coming back to Garmin after a foolish few years!
