Calorie goal doesn't change in Garmin Connect after adjusting in MFP

I changed my calorie goal from 1914 to 1794 in My Fitness Pal, but it doesn't change in my Garmin Connect app (I've got a vivoactive 3). I already deleted the cache, reinstalled the app & restarted my phone but it still shows my old calorie goal. How can I fix this? I've searched Google for a solution, but nothing comes up. Also, older topics don't come with a solution either. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

Yes I am. After a while Garmin did change it, but somehow took a couple of days to sync it... Have the same issue right now, as I lowered my intake again. Guess I'll have to wait for Garmin to sync of change it again in Garmin Connect.

How many days does it take for garmin connect to reflect the current calorie goal in MFP?

  • Not sure, but I'd tell the Calories goal in Garmin Connect may be calculated automatically from your RMR (Resting Metabolic Rate), hence using your current weight, age, gender, and height, and from the Weight Goal. If it is that case, then changing the Calories goal in MFP won't have any impact to GC. Try adjusting some other values (i.e. the Weight Goal)  in GC and loook how it impacts the Calories Goal.

  • I've been having the same issue and it was boggling my mind. I dropped my goal from 2000, to 1500. Garmin app still stated 2000. I literally just went in to the garminconnect.com website, looked on my dashboard, and there's a button to sync to MyFitnessPal. All fixed. Now my app and website dashboard both say 1500.
