How can I change an activity to multi sport?

I completed a tri and started the activity in multi sport but foolishly pressed the start stop button instead of the lap button. Thus recording the whole activity as an open water swim. All the GPS data is there in the activity just shown as a swim can I split this out into the swim bike run?

It can't be done within Garmin Connect. If you're having the same problem as the OP, upload the fit file here. We might be able to fix it for you.

Zip the file, then in a reply post Insert >> Image/video/file >> click Upload >> browse for file >> OK.
Or upload the fit file to a file sharing service, such as OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc., then share a link to the file in your post.

Oh, thanks seilogramp! I am not the original poster and have a different problem with a multisport event than the one described but I will post and upload the file and any help would be greatly appreciated!
