More swimming badges requested please!

Hello,

My fiance is feeling a bit left out with the lack of swimming badges in the Garmin connect app.  There are no distance or speed badges like there are for running/biking.  Does anyone know the right Griny to provide feedback so someone from Garmin sees it?  We really enjoy competing for fake points, and they are missing out.  Now, off to find my wingsuit to get that one tricky point Grin

Thanks,

Eric

    Thanks!

And twice Smiley However, we cannot do much for you, we are just users like you. You need to ask Garmin directly, since it is not very likely to be seen by them here, on the user forum. Use for example the form at www.garmin.com/.../ or contact their Support

  • They did it! They added swim badges! Hugging Well. at least challenges.. it’s a start!

  • Yes, more swimming badges! The ones in the summer preceded my pool reopening, and now that the pool is open, I would love to have badge options.

  • Still no swimming badges available. Except the open water badge and during summer the one-hour badge, and the 20 activities badge of >20 minutes. There are monthly challenge badges for yoga, strength, walking, running, cycling.... swimming is a triathlon discipline and in and of itself one of the few lifetime sports disciplines. I think with the Garmin management, they are afraid of water.

  • Dear Garmin,

can you please add more Swim Badges to your monthly challenges?

I am Handicapped so Swimming is my primary workout now.

    Thanks for your consideration.

  • Hi Eric,
    I just posted another idea:
I got my Garmin watch more than 2 years ago and as an avid swimmer I have found that there are almost no (monthly) challenges and badges available. During the northern summer you can (sometimes) earn 1 point with 1 hour of swimming per month, 2 points with an open water swim, and after a mixed metre/yard swim you get 1 point and ... that's it. Swimming is an important sport, one of the few truly lifetime sports. It is a triathlon and Ötilö discipline, and in many countries it is one of the most popular sports with the public (Europe, Japan, US, Hong Kong, etc. etc.). I really wonder why Garmin treats swimming so badly. In comparison, there are challenge badges every month for cycling, running, walking, strength, sometimes even yoga and the like - but no swimming. And there are badges for Pilates, breathwork, Yoga, etc. you can earn after, say, 10, 25, 50, or 100 sessions. Swimming, on the other hand, offers no options. Tongue in cheek: Is the Garmin management water-shy? :)
