Hi, I see that this topic was brought up around 3 years ago. I would like to bring it up again. I am sure Bergen is not the only city with this problem.
I have a Garmin Forerunner 35, which does not have a barometer. My activities in Bergen have ridiculous elevation profiles on Garmin connect, but not on strava. I can only assume that this means that the Garmin hight maps for the city and the mountains are inaccurate. By simple observation, I have seen a fair number of Garmin watches in the city, including other forerunner 35s. As strava has believable elevation data, I am sure the problem is fixable. I would be really nice if it were addressed as the mountains and running trails here are perfect for climbing training, both for runners and cyclesist.
