Garmin Coach: My long runs won't move to Sunday

I have set up  half marathon training using Garmin Coach.  I have set my long run day to Sunday, but it keeps putting them on a Tuesday.  I have tried changing them to another day, saving and then moving it to Sunday and saving it again, but no joy.

  • Just to confirm I have the same issues, but with training on Mon, Wed, Sat. I want the long run on Saturday, but it put it on Monday. I changed it to Wednesday, and now it appears on Saturday.

  • could it be, that in your settings the first day of the week is wrong?

  • I have my first day of the week set for Sunday, which is the standard in the U.S.A. I'm not aware of this setting changing anything other than how calendar appears in the app (and maybe online?).

  • I think this may be fixed now? My plan recalculated the other day after coming back from a break and it put my long run on Friday (which is my selected long-run day under the plan). Because the long run was placed on Friday, I changed my plan settings for my long run day to Sunday and it recalculated the plan again and placed the long run on Sunday.

  • Seems to be fixed for me too,

After pausing the plan and than resuming it, my long runs are now going to the configured day.

I am having this issue as well. I was wondering if it was something where there is a longer mid-week run. Last time I trained off a paper chart and I was running my long runs on Sunday and 3,5 and 3 mile weekday runs.

My long run day is set for Sunday but it keeps putting them on tuesday (5 weeks in)

I was thinking that the Sunday mileage would also ramp up while keeping the Tuesday at 6

  • Just drag and drop your long run to sunday in your calender in Garmin connect. You should see a popup which will ask to move the complete program or just this single workout. If you select "complete program", everything should move... Hope this helps.

Having this issue on my 945, Vivoactive 4 was fine. I just changed all days as available and it moves the long run to the selected day. Not ideal of there is days you can't run though.

  • This is still happening. My available days are Mon, Tues, Fri. I had Friday as the long day and it was never right. I just switched long run day to Tues and it put the long run on Friday.

Come on Garmin, this workaround has been needed for 2 years.

  • I have the same issue. I can change the long run day to another and back to resolve the issue but then the plan starts at zero, so basically all my progress is gone. This is extremely frustrating. I already contacted support about this issue and made a suggestion but since it seems to be a problem that exists for so long I doubt that they will fix it...
