I have had a Garmin Forerunner 235 for just over 2 years and just recently upgraded to the Vivoactive 3 Music. One of my long standing gripes with the Heart Rate Details in the GC app (Android) is that the Heart Rate Detail when the OHR on the watch cannot measure your heart rate shows an ugly line that drops to zero where the data is missing. Then when the OHR starts recording again it shows a line from zero back to where the re-established heart rate is. Whereas, in GC on the web this missing data is shown simply as just a break in the data and reconvenes when the heart rate is found again. I find the representation of the heart rate data in GC app (Android) for one, inaccurate, as technically the heart rate does not go to zero, of course. Secondly, extrapolating a line down to zero and then back-up again is also not representative of what is going on. Finally, it is just plain ugly to look at!! Why can't the mobile app show the heart rate data timeline like the GC web version which is more accurate and true to what is actually happening on the device. I always have gaps and skips in my heart rate data timeline regardless of how i wear my watch, i have tried many things. This is not my complaint. Its just how the device sits on my hand and i also think its because i have dark skin. But can Garmin fix this and show the heart rate data properly in the GC app. Do others see this? Is this just Android what about the iOS app how does it represent the heart rate timeline details in the GC app like this...I have attached a pic - which is typical for my day. ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1479026.jpg
