How do you know who wants to connect with you?

When you get connection request only nickname or firstname is shown. No welcome/intro message, no activities (unless they're public) - NOTHING. Not a single piece of information by which you could recognize a person.

So how do you know who wants to connect with you and wether to accept it or not?
Am I missing something?

  • I log into Garmin Connect on the web and the 'user icon' in the invite is clickable. I then see how many connections they have. If they have more that 20 I decline.

OK so same here - you don't have any reliable info to recognize a person. Just by the number of his/her connections.
At least there was a chat/messaging feature. I could ask a person "who are you and how do you or I know each other".

    Let's ask Garmin :)
  • Best to have contact with somebody in other ways first (in person, e-mail etc.).
Without that, yes, can't know who wants to connect.

Another problem, invitations have "Accept" and "Ignore" buttons. It's not clear what "Ignore" do.
I would decline, for now, some invitations, but I don't want to block/ignore somebody permanently.
So, that option should be more clear.
