Garmin Connect sync to "Google Fit" and "Samsung Health"

Garmin Connect is a great sports tracking app. But a lot of people also want other features that are more health oriented. And this is where sending data from Garmin Connect to a service like Samsung Health or Google Fit comes in place.

I purchased the license for health sync and I'm trying to get Garmin connect to sync steps (and heart rate but thst is a lower priority) with Google fit and hopefully ultimately strava and myfitnesspal. I understand other apps can no longer syncs with Samsung health which I also have. I gave the permissions when healthsync asked me to do so but it doesn't seem to be working.

Any suggestions for what might be the problem?

As stated by others and me before in this thread, the steps cannot be synced with Samsung Health. Samsung Health does not allow it.

Thanks. How about syncing steps with Google Fit? That doesn't seem to be working either.

3 years passed but Garmin still the same.

I need to use a third-party app to add my Xiaomi Composition Scales data to the Garmin instead of syncing directly.

It's a weird when someone states that Google Fit is a competitor for Garmin. Google didn't make fitness and sport equipment, Google Fit is just a data-collecting hub that everyone can connect. Every noname scales, but not Garmin. It's just ridiculous.

Is there any chance that Garmin join the Google health connection standard? https://health.google/ It seems absurd to have to rely on unknown third-party apps to sync data...

I've just been gifted a Garmin device and find it's incapable of connecting to any other health or fitness applications I use.

This is a showstopper, Health Sync integration seems to be broken now too so that won't help. This will probably mean a device return and switching to something else sigh :/

I sync my Garmin with Strava. What health apps are you trying to sync with? I didn't have much luck with other apps. However, I did recently load Komoot on my Garmin and that is now syncing as well.

I installed Strava and immediately uninstalled it when I was greeted with a very short free trial and then an expensive subscription offer. I won't buy another Garmin until they use some of their overpriced watch profits to provide free syncing outside of their proprietary cocoon.

Hi. I am in the same situation trying to link my Garmin connect to Google fit (a little later though). I tried this app a week ago and it was perfectly synchronising the data I needed. However, after a week the free trial expired and I decided to pay to continue but now it doesn't work anymore... I don't know why because I didn't change anything but tried many things to make it work unsuccessfully. As you have been in contact with the developer of the app could you please send me his contact details so that I could try to solve it. That would really be great and help me as it is the only app I found that works.
