Corrupt FIT File Repair Requests

Hi,

I would like to load this file into any software, but all of them tell me that it cannot be imported.
For some reason the file is not working (the watch ran out of battery while it was tracking the hike), but I would really like to have it.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

    Hi,

we came up with an issue with my wife's FR25. There was one activity missing from the GC which when I tried to upload manually I received that an error occurred and the file wasn't uploaded.
after some tries with uploading and exporting the file from other apps!! I came up with a repaired fit file from http://garmin.kiesewetter.nl/.

But, what I would really like is to understand what was wrong with the file (attached) .

could somebody help me figure it out?

    thanks,
    John.

I have a broken .FIT file as well and I am not able to fix it. On the garmin.kiesewetter.nl website it says:
Upload status: The file could not be uploaded. The following error occured: The process cannot access the file 'C:\inetpub\wwwroot\localuser\garmin.kiesewetter.nl\loadup\71FD1742.FIT' because it is being used by another process.

I've also tried converting into other formats but it is still broken.

Anybody here to repair it for me?

    Verrrry dodgy FIT file

    Good morning all,
(Perhaps i posted in the wrong section earlier) I went for a brief recovery run last Thursday (26/1/17) and uploaded it from my Garmin 735 via Bluetooth as normal, but after appearing correctly in GC Mobile, it then appeared in GC Web as an activity two days earlier (24/1/17) with all the pace, HR and running dynamics charts severely messed up. The averages in the tables at the bottom look okay but the charts are unreadable, and when I sync the activity syncs with TrainingPeaks, the activity carries an enormous rTSS of about 5,700, which is messing everything up! Any ideas what happened and how i can fix this? I've had a look at the Fix Repair Tool, but without Access (or sufficient time..) it looks a right old faff...is there an easier way of doing it?

    Here's the offending activity: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/1546120009

    Thanks vm.

    Hello John,

In lap 8 there was 1 timestamp recorded out of order. Tried to go backwards 40 seconds which corrupted the file.
Fixed with the Fit File Repair Tool if you want to compare to what you got elsewhere.

    Hello DATEZZ,

Could you please also consider my corrupt file?

    Thanks

    Hello Kolya,

Your Fenix had trouble recording distances and I think that is what corrupted your file. I had to recalc everything based on the recorded coordinates. Also the laps did not seem to make any sense. Parts of each lift ride would be included in the downhill runs. The basic "fixed" file has your original laps.
I made a 2nd file "NewLaps" with each lift ride as a lap (1) and then the downhill run as the next lap (2) etc.
The data stops up top when you entered the Lodge.
Both files will load into Connect so you can compare and keep what you want.

    Hello Sone123,

I think your VAHR is having a problem. There were 2300 trackpoints and 1000 of them were zero speeds?? I removed them and the data looks okay up until 4:22PM. Then your running speeds start climbing up to 20-30-43km/h then the data stops abruptly at 4:25PM with you still running at 32km/h and that stop corrupted your file. I removed that last 3 minutes of data and fixed what was left with the Fit File Repair Tool.
  • Hi DATEZZ,
