Corrupt FIT File Repair Requests

Hi,

I would like to load this file into any software, but all of them tell me that it cannot be imported.
For some reason the file is not working (the watch ran out of battery while it was tracking the hike), but I would really like to have it.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Actually I made a couple of drills after 25m-series. But it not important for me. I'm interested in HR-data on 2000 m interval and I'm sure that hart rate was much higher than 120 bpm (I think it was about 140-150).
I download runtime and app from "download" page (http://fitfilerepairtool.info/download/). After unzipping app archive I started file "repairfitfile". Runtime was started and I received series of error messages that app can't find ActiveX component or something like this.

I do not have a 920 and I do not swim but I have experienced lower than normal HR readings and in my case it was always because my skin was drying out and the HR strap was not making good contact. Water is an insulator so in your case too much water between your skin and strap could be reducing the skin contact. A tighter strap might help but again I am just guessing.

Regarding the FFRT....I am just a user not a programmer at all. You might run Windows Update and see it it finds the activeX or whatever is missing or needs updating. I am running Win7 with MS Access 2013.

Thank you, Don. I'll try to solve the problem with running FFRT. One more time thank you very much for repair!
  • This past sunday I ran the New York Marathon with my Fenix3, but the .fit file is corrupted (map missing and some values are "strange")

I have since then fixed the Fenix3 with a hard reset and a firmware-update, new runs seems to work.

Is there a way to fix the New York Marathon .fit file ?

Thanks in advance for anyone giving it a try :)

    Hello Johan,

There is no map because there are no coordinates at all in the file. The GPS was turned off or broken??
The file loaded into my Connect just fine so I did not run a fix on it.
Tell me what data looks strange and what it should be and maybe I can alter it.
  • Thanks Don

I think the firmware I was using (7.60) on the Fenix3 was broken as many people reported missing maps - the fix was to make a hard reset.

This was the last resort for me - thanks for trying! :)

The data that looks strange is for example "length of step" (dont know the english term here - I have it in swedish) which alters half way through the race.

I have been using Garmin for a long time and this is the first and only run thats is corrupted - unfortunately it was the most important run for me that I really wanted to keep.

    Unable to upload

    Hi,

I'm having issues trying to manually upload the attached file. I receive the following error - "An error occurred with your upload. Please try again."

I don't see any issues with the file, but would appreciate if someone can have a look at it....

    Thank you
  • Help please

    Hi ,

Dont suppose anyone can do anything with this corrupt file? Its just from a treadmill run and nothing special but it was one of those ones that shows i'm improving and was keen to see the split times. Don't need all the info, just the splits. Thanks :)
  • I'm sorry to say, there is nothing in the file posted by lisa_b1977, except for some device attributes (FR610). The file size is only 72 bytes. The date of the file indicates that the timestamp is all 0's, so something went really wrong while saving this file. Did the device crash?
