Corrupt FIT File Repair Requests

Hi,

I would like to load this file into any software, but all of them tell me that it cannot be imported.
For some reason the file is not working (the watch ran out of battery while it was tracking the hike), but I would really like to have it.

Any ideas?

    Corrupt .fit file

    Hi All,

    Just wondering if someone can check out the file via my Dropbox link. I have tried uploading it on the forum but for some reason, it won't let me. It is a file from my race this morning and I'm spewing that it's corrupt :~(

    Hi Adam,

    you can download a repaired version of your fit file from https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/91455145/2016-01-30-07-07-21-fixed.fit.
    I fixed it using Fit File Repair Tool version 7.1 and hope I could rescue all of your data.

    .FIT corrupt and can't import post fix

    Can anyone help me? My pesky garmin 920xt has started corrupting files for some reason. Tried to fix the latest one using http://garmin.kiesewetter.nl/ but Garmin Connect doesn't like the fixed file and so won't upload it when I try manually. I have attached the file.

    Any suggestions as to why my device has suddenly started corrupting files?

    Hello Rachel,

    There are 3 files.
    The "Device Info.pdf" shows that the GPS has the serial number but nothing else. That might mean that the gps chip will not work??
    The "Recorded Data.pdf" shows that the device is not recording any gps data indicating again that the gps chip is not working??
    The "fixed.fit" file will load into Connect and the graphs will plot using "time".
    There are no coordinates so there will be no map.

    Make sure the GPS function is turned on > Activity Settings > GPS > ON.
    If it is ON you might try to re-install the software and see if the GPS starts working again.
    If not then you probably need to get a replacement.

    Corrupt (maybe empty?) file...

    Hi, can anyone help with this file?
    Did a 111km event ride on the weekend.. after a rest stop realised my Edge 510 was displaying Discard/Save screen (don't know if I accidentally pressed the button, or if the unit was playing up).. because I was riding & couldn't remember how to "unpause" I hit save, and started a new activity. The file for the 2nd part of the ride loaded up fine, but not the first one.
    I can see the summary data on the Garmin unit..but suspect the file may be "empty" as it's only 1kb... but hoping it can be somehow rescued? I wouldn't bother asking, but it's an event I did last year so would really like to compare how I went.

    Corrupted or empty file

    As many garmin users before me I would like to ask specialist for help.
    Training which I lost was 130km long. During saving Garming freeze the screen and last training has gone.
    I had recover lost file using recovery tool.
    I used http://garmin.kiesewetter.nl/ to repair but without result.
    I suppose I lost this training.
    If anyone could look on file and try to fix it I would be more than gratefull.

    Hello Miron,

    That file has only 37 seconds of good data then everything went bonkers.
    The dates go from 1990 thru 2018 with totally corrupt coordinates, elevations etc.
    Just in case....I fixed the 37 seconds of data.
