Corrupt FIT File Repair Requests

Former Member
Former Member

Hi,

I would like to load this file into any software, but all of them tell me that it cannot be imported.
For some reason the file is not working (the watch ran out of battery while it was tracking the hike), but I would really like to have it.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

    hi Max,

All file repairs are done using FFRT.

And if you happen to be close to my home town during your holiday, drop me a line and I'll take you up on that offer of a beer or two lol

    cheers

Thanks kiwimtnbkr! I noticed the file was a bit small and after uploading to Garmin, saw the swim portion was missing?

    hi bt5595,

This is what I am seeing after uploading your .fit file to GC - pic.

I just noted that I neglected to fix the elevation issue within your run segment so I've now sorted that and re-exported. Give this file a try but before you upload it to GC, make sure you have deleted the activity from within GC.

    cheers

Awesome kiwimtnbkr. I deleted and re-imported to Garmin Connect and now it works. How do I upload the HR into the swim? I can see the HR values in "R-R Values" tab but my Tri Garmin HRM usually adds heart rate data into the file after the event because it cannot record HR values underwater.

    hi bt5595,

I'm not sure if that is possible but I've asked the question of the developer of FFRT.

UPDATE: It's not currently possible to upload the HR values from the Garmin Tri HRM into the swim.

    cheers

    Thanks for checking!
  • You'll need to post thr .fit file from the activity.
  • espenfjo,

I looked at your file it does appear that you've lost a couple minutes at the end of your run, there are no data records for the missing time so not much can be done with the file to recover those records. I can see where the watch powered up but no indication of why it cycled off it was right after one of the high alerts which there were plenty in you activity. Where are you looking for the First Beat values all of the data fields in your file have HRV values associated with them.
