Corrupt FIT File Repair Requests

Hi,

I would like to load this file into any software, but all of them tell me that it cannot be imported.
For some reason the file is not working (the watch ran out of battery while it was tracking the hike), but I would really like to have it.

Any ideas?

I'm not sure I've understood your problems. But I "frequently" have issues downloading stored swim heart rate data (From Garmin HRM-Swim) to my Forerunner 965.

Unzip the file then import into Garmin Connect using the import data page.

I see. How come the elevation and the kilometers done have been recorded anyway as the device had been on regularly?

I am sorry to bother this topic again, but I have uploaded 55 activities without any problems and now for the second time in a row I receive the message that the file is corrupt. Does anybody know what could be the problem? I have a Garmin 820 edge.

Could also somebody fix the file again?

hi Willy,

The end of the file was corrupt and missing the session record information. This is sometimes caused by incorrect saving procedures or the device being allowed to power itself down before the file is saved.

Give this file a try.

It happened again. My garmin turned off when uploading the activity and now the file is corrupt again. May I ask again your assistance Mike to repair the file? Many thanks in advance!

HI I am new to this but do any one know why fit files get corrupted? All when well and my two files for the 23 and 24 Feb is corrupted so i deleted them from my 810 edge and saved them on my pc could i get it repaired and what could i do to avoid it happening again?

Please see the two files attached?

Give this file and this file a try.

The reasons for .fit files becoming corrupted are wide and varied - anything from an incorrect saving procedure being carried out, to loss of GPS signal, to lack of storage room on the device. Nothing spectacular was reported while working with your files but if it keeps happening on a regular basis then it might be time to Master Reset your device - ensure you Google how to save your user profile and config first or you will have to set them up again.
