Corrupt FIT File Repair Requests

Hi,

I would like to load this file into any software, but all of them tell me that it cannot be imported.
For some reason the file is not working (the watch ran out of battery while it was tracking the hike), but I would really like to have it.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

  • Hello! I'm looking for a way to unify two multisport files into one.
By mistake, in a duatlhon after the T1 I press the button of lap and I could not record the section of the bike. After this I started a new multisport activity (while riding the bike) to record the T2 and the last section of the race.

What I am needing is to have a single multisport file that contains:
1 - The first run and transition 1 of the first multisport file.
2 - The second part, part of the bike, I have the file of my edge520
3 - And finally take the T2 and the last run of another multisport file.

Is it possible to do this?

    Thanks in advance. :o

Many thanks - worked a treat.

Sadly, the Garmin stopped 'recording' 9 miles in, which is probably why the file was corrupted?

If anyone would be so kind...

Didn't work in Garmin Connect (didn't even show up, but I found with a data recovery tool).
Tried the .nl site but I'm not sure that it worked. The smaller file should have been my ride to start, the larger was one of my best of the season :(

    Hello A.Carpenter,
It appears that a lot of data is totally corrupted.
The data for the ride over to the race stops abruptly at 0.7mi.
The race data is okay for 7 miles then goes bonkers.

    Hi guys,

I did my first road bike activity (really short, but I'm not used to it, since I've always been on the MTB) and it is also my first Edge 820 recorded activity. But instead of saving, I deleted it. So I scanned the Edge to find the .fit file, but it seems corrupted.

I tried many tools on the web, but no one worked. Could you please, try to recover it?

    I'll appreciate it.

    Thanks!
I wonder what could have caused the corruption? The only thing I can think of is maybe after I saved the ride my Garmin did Auto-Shutdown, but I can't understand that would corrupt data fields like you're describing. Hope I don't need a new Garmin :-/

If anyone has potential fixes so this doesn't keep happening I would appreciate it. I already disabled Auto-Shutdown.
