Corrupt FIT File Repair Requests

Hi,

I would like to load this file into any software, but all of them tell me that it cannot be imported.
For some reason the file is not working (the watch ran out of battery while it was tracking the hike), but I would really like to have it.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

    hi Kristian,

"description The server encountered an internal error that prevented it from fulfilling this request."

There's the issue - it's not the file, it's a server problem. Nothing either you or I can do - Garmin need to resolve it.

    cheers

    Hi Mike,

    Thanks again.

Hmm, I wish (hope) that to be true; and it may still be, so I will contact them.

However, I do have 9 other .fit files from the same Trek, which all work on the server when I do that export, which is why this one sticks out like a sore thumb. I found a way to export it to a .csv file using an online Program, and it had quite a few lines saying Error in it. Not sure if that means anything.

    Anyway, will try Garmin.

    Cheers

Hi, Don. I need your help again :-)

Would you repair this swimming activity file?

Could someone take a look at the file below. When I try to upload it to GC, it tells me 'An Unknown Error Occurred.' If I try to view the summary data for the ride on the Garmin unit, it shows 0 miles. However, it uploads to Strava and RWGPS fine and looks correct.

    hi theelsean,

Give this file a try. I was able to do a manual upload of it to my GC account and all the data you would expect was showing.

And my apologises - I remember repairing this file for you when you first posted it, went to reply and the forums were having a 'toddler moment' and I forgot to try again when I got home from work.

    cheers

    Hi kiwimtnbkr,

That worked, thanks! Any idea why the original refused to upload to GC, and what was fixed? I had attempted to manually upload the original as well.

    hi TheElSean,

FFRT didn't throw up any error messages so it may well have subtly fixed something in the background as it was checking the file. Sorry can't help you with what happened.

    cheers

    Dodgy .fit file.

Hi Mike ( @kiwimtnbkr )from across the ditch here in Perth WA!

I went for a longish training run on Saturday and my FR25 decided to bork the run and refuse to sync.
I ran it through the online repair tool but it only recovered about 1km of it.
Do you mind attempting to work your magic on it?
I would be very grateful for your assistance.
Here is the original unrepaired file.

    Cheers
    Brian
