Corrupt FIT File Repair Requests

Hi,

I would like to load this file into any software, but all of them tell me that it cannot be imported.
For some reason the file is not working (the watch ran out of battery while it was tracking the hike), but I would really like to have it.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

    hi Jay,

I have just been able to upload both of the files, via FFRT, to both Strava and Garmin Connect. Was also able to do them as manual uploads as well so I am not sure what is causing issues for you sorry....

    cheers

I have a .fit file that will not upload to Garmin Connect. It uploads and looks fine in Strava and Ride with GPS. Anyone know what might be going on with this file and how I can get it into connect. I've tried using the fit files tools, but doens't seem to fix whatever is wrong.

    hi theelsean,

Attach the file in a reply to this message or get yourself a free Dropbox account, upload it to there and then share the link in a reply.

Can then have a look at what is going on with it.

    cheers

Fit file with Error when exporting to Google Earth?

    HO

I am looking to see if someone can fix my particular fit file (original attached), because when I upload it back to garminconnect, I am not able to export the file to googlemaps. I get the Error attached, which does not seem to even say what the error is?

Garminconnect shows a reasonable amount of info.

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards

    Kristian

    Hi Mike,

Thanks for giving it a try, unfortunately when I select the gear wheel, top right and then select "Export to Google Earth" it (STILL) gives me a page which says this?

    HTTP Status 500 -

    type Exception report

    message

description The server encountered an internal error that prevented it from fulfilling this request.

    exception

    java.lang.NullPointerException

Corrupt FIT file - please help!

    Hi Forum,

I did a good (for me) run yesterday but to my dismay (and for the first time ever) my Forerunner 25 would not sync due to a corrupt FIT file (attached). I have tried a couple of online tools but was only ever able to recover part of the file. The correct summary data shown on the watch is:
    Time: 2:48:02
    Distance: 32.28 km
    Pace: 5:12 min/km

Auto Lap was on, and the watch apparently correctly displays the first 19 x 1 km laps, but the 20th lap is 13.28 km.

I would love to have a complete and correct record of this run if anyone out there can help me!

    hi Kristian,

"description The server encountered an internal error that prevented it from fulfilling this request."

There's the issue - it's not the file, it's a server problem. Nothing either you or I can do - Garmin need to resolve it.

    cheers
