Corrupt FIT File Repair Requests

Hi,

I would like to load this file into any software, but all of them tell me that it cannot be imported.
For some reason the file is not working (the watch ran out of battery while it was tracking the hike), but I would really like to have it.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Corrupt file or file fragment "File not Found" error

I think I have a corrupt file. In my device's MONITOR folder, it shows a file titled 72K91300.FiT. I want to delete that file completely. However, when I do that, I get an error message that says the file cannot be found...as if it weren't really there. So I am completely unable to delete this file. Any ideas on how to make this fragment go away?

Nevermind. I ended up doing a factory reset, and this went away.

    Problem solved.

Hi Everyone - I've got another corrupt file here. Can any of you kind souls out there work some magic on it? Can't seem to sort it myself...

I've been referred to this thread from a new one I posted - hope someone can help me!

    Thanks - Andy

    hi Andy,

You had a small amount of corrupted data at the start of your file so the overall distance may not be correct but it will be close.

Give this file a try. If it isn't correct then let me know and I will see what I can do.

    cheers

    Thanks so much!!!

Mike - you are an absolute superstar!! Thanks so much for salvaging this file for me. Your file imported straight into Connect with no problems at all!

This was a spontaneous run along a very lovely trail. I managed a marathon down the route without any real training so I was a bit deflated when I couldn't sync the run and look at my stats post run!

Out of interest, what toolset did you use to correct it and do you find you do that sort of thing often?

    Thanks again

    hi Andy,

I use the paid version of the Fit File Repair Tool - supremely capable and Mathias pumps out a lot of updates.

Don't see as many dodgy .fit files as there once used to be but they still do happen from time to time.

    cheers

3 fit files, all during runs too, any idea what is going on?

These are all from recent runs and 2 of the 3 the watch stopped on me. Are they fixable? Any idea what is going on?

    hi learmanj,

There was nothing wrong with your .fit files that FFRT reported.

Give this file, this file and this file a try.

    cheers

    hi Mike,

I haven't been able to load your file into FFRT and that generally means that the file is corrupt beyond repair.

Someone else might have more luck with it than me.

    cheers

one of the files now works, but the other two do not.

    Hi Mike,

The file 74u7447 worked but the other two still did not. Neither one will sync and I get an error until I go in and delete that file out of the system. Any other ideas anyone?
    thank you!!
