Corrupt FIT File Repair Requests

Hi,

I would like to load this file into any software, but all of them tell me that it cannot be imported.
For some reason the file is not working (the watch ran out of battery while it was tracking the hike), but I would really like to have it.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

    No maps in Garmin Connect

I ran two 21.1 km this weekend and now I see no maps in two workouts. All other data seems to be ok. Please help fix FIT files. Today I restarted my FR235 and new activity has a map.

    Hello,

I did a trail run today (09/10/2016) after which I accidentely discarded my activity. I tried recovering the .fit file with piriform recuva. I now have a .FIT file but I lack the skills of making it into a useful file.
Any help in recovering this file would be greatly appreciated

    Hello JernVD,

That file is a real mess. There are 3 sessions, a run(with all the data), a swim (with no data) and a "No Name??" (with no data). There are dates from 1998 thru 2035 with spurious coords making the distance 121135kms. Also there appears to be 1 run in Oct and 1 run in June all mixed in together. I cleaned up everything with the Fit File Repair Tool and made 2 files.

    Hi

Was wondering if anyone could help. I did a run (ran to a point then looped back along the same route). The section from 7.44 to 10.48 went ok, but on the way back (42.04 to 45.44) the GPS decided to go ballistic and fly all over the place.

Was hoping someone could help, as I cant seem to find a tool that would be able to fix GPS points

    TIA

    Hello Jerry,

There is no way to correct those coords unless you have a GPX or FIT file with the correct track in that area of corrupt coords. A correct track can be inserted into your file while keeping your speeds and other data.

Yesterday as I was trail running it suddenly started to notifying me of 1K laps every 2-3 mins. The garmin app also shows about 16 laps when only 8 are real. The GPS graph show a 10 minute gap.
Something must be wrong with the watch and I was wondering if someone could take a look.
I downloaded the fit repair tool application but it crashes on startup.

    Hello Yannis,

I did not find a 10 minute gap but your watch definitely goofed up. I corrected the elevations and made 8 laps with the Fit File Repair Tool.

I have a broken .fit file with FTP test data on it that I would really like to be able to recover. I've included the file below via Google Drive and as an attachment.
Already tried most of the online "quick fixes"

    Hello VoloAthlete,

It looks like this was recorded while on rollers and you forgot to turn off the GPS.
The Fit File Repair Tool fixed the headers and all the data seems to be okay except for the track on the map which looks like a birds nest.

    Hello Marko,

Those files are not corrupt. There are no coordinates at all. It appears you had the GPS set to OFF for those 2 runs.

    Hi Don

Thanks, do I need to recreate the whole route or just that section ?
