Corrupt FIT File Repair Requests

Hi,

I would like to load this file into any software, but all of them tell me that it cannot be imported.
For some reason the file is not working (the watch ran out of battery while it was tracking the hike), but I would really like to have it.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

    Hi Don,

Thanks so much for trying to fix those files! Wow, not sure how/why they'd stop so abruptly, and I honestly thought that the 2016 file would have had more data than the 2015 file (I tried fixing the 2015 with a program last year but only got through part of the bike before it stopped). But something is better than nothing and I really appreciate the help! Meanwhile, I'm trying to figure out what I did differently at Steelhead to capture the data without a hitch. IMWI 2015: data glitch. Steelhead: uploaded without a problem and even had a complete .tcx file IMWI 2016: an even worse data glitch than 2015

At least we're tracked a lot on those IM runs so I have those paces to work off, and I roughly know where I struggled. I just wish I knew why my Garmin was so good about beeping at me every five miles on the bike and giving me splits every mile on the run yet now that data is nowhere to be found. Oh well.

I appreciate the help in fixing what you could, way better than my poor attempts.

    Thank you!

Can anyone fix this file? I'm having problems with it - hopefully it is a 20 mile run.
  • Merge two multi sport files

    DATEZZ

Any chance you can merge these two multi-sport *.fit files for me? I pressed the lap button too many times and had to start the multi-sport mode over on my 70.3 a couple of weekends ago. The first *.fit file (69B73429): keep the swim and T1(5:13 in length) and the second (69B82148) *.fit file keep the bike, T2 and run. All the other junk that is only a couple of seconds long can be deleted and then just one fit file created. I know the lengths are not a perfect 70.3, but I'm fine with that. I'd like to just have all the data in one file instead of two.

    Here is the link:

    Thanks in advance!
  • I did an Olympic tri today. Everything looks good on my 920xt, but I can't view any of the data in garmin connect. Interestingly, the swim, T1, bike, and T2 all got pushed over to Strava without issue, but the run did not get pushed.

Any help in repairing this file would be appreciated.

    Hello rbf2000,

The run is totally corrupt. Dates from 1990 to 1995 and coordinates 8000 miles away.
Here are the first 4 sessions fixed with the Fit File Repair Tool.

Really odd - especially since the watch didn't give me any indication that there was an issue with it. In fact, if I view the activity history for that multi-sport activity in the watch, I can see all the stats for the run (e.g., ascent, descent, average HR, average cadence, pace, etc.) and when viewing the entire multi-sport activity map on the watch, I can see the run portion (which seems to indicate that it's not corrupt on the watch).

I guess my question is, since it seems like the data are correct on the watch for the run, is there any way to re-generate the fit file from the watch with that seemingly correct information?

I ran the data thru another version of the Tool and got the same scrambled data for the run.
I have no idea if the History on the 920 can be exported but the file you have is totally corrupt for the run.
