Corrupt FIT File Repair Requests

Hi,

I would like to load this file into any software, but all of them tell me that it cannot be imported.
For some reason the file is not working (the watch ran out of battery while it was tracking the hike), but I would really like to have it.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

I've written quite a long explanation but then the opera crashed on import of the not-yet-mentioned file. Hence, I'll be brief. I merged my two activities with https://www.fitfiletools.com/, managed to overwrite one of the original files, got invalid file error when trying to upload and overflow error when trying to import to FitFileRepairTool. The merged file is attached and any help highly appreciated. Thanks!

    Hello Dostring,

That file is a total scramble. Dates from 1990 thru 2016, coordinates 1000's of kms apart, etc.
If you can attach the original 2 files maybe I can find more usable data and then combine them.
What date was your ride and approximately how far did you go?

    Hello Datezz,
thank you for taking a look. I think I am out of luck. As I mentioned, I managed to overwrite one of the original files (renamed the merged file to the usual format day and time). At least the file part I lost was a meager 10k ride in the beggining. The other part (rest of the 100k ride in the hills) I have and is ok. Cheers!
  • Got a corrupted .fit file today for the first time. Tried a few options to correct it myself, but to no avail. Seems like its a bit more difficult to do on a mac?

Help to fix the file would be greatly appreciated, as would any tips to help me do it myself if i have the problem again in the future.

    Hello Xshippx,

At 17min the Fenix lost satellite lock, buggered the date and corrupted the file.
At 54min it regained lock and somehow corrected the date.
I made a MultiSport file with:
The first 17 minutes of good data is Session 1.
The next 37 minutes of corrupt data is Session 2.
The rest of the good data is Session 3.

So....here ya go. Manufactured a MultiSport with the Fit File Repair Tool.
  • Hi Datezz,
I ran the Rotterdam marathon yesterday but got a problem with my fit file.
It crashed after the finish line so the last split is totally wrong.
Could you please take a look and fix it ?
    Thanks a lot :).

    Hello Maxime,

The very last trackpoint was corrupt. 8000km away with 35643 calories and 474 cadence.
That would definitely bugger your splits ;)

Fixed with the Fit File Repair Tool.
  • Thank you so much for your help :) !!
