Corrupt FIT File Repair Requests

Hi,

I would like to load this file into any software, but all of them tell me that it cannot be imported.
For some reason the file is not working (the watch ran out of battery while it was tracking the hike), but I would really like to have it.

Any ideas?

    Hello Griffin,

    That file is very small, 1kb, and has 3 seconds of data. Basically there is nothing there to fix....sorry.

    Whatever was wrong with your file was very minor. The Tool fixed it with no warnings and there appears to be no loss of data.

    Can the Fit File Repair Tool -- "cut" data from my file?

    HI Mathias -
    No file is attached (yet).
    I have a file that includes a "car drive" after a bike crash. Clearly this data is not good for use in Training Peaks.
    Strava can "cut" the bad data, but I don't know how to do something similar with the GARMIN Fit file -- to use with other apps.

    Any advice?

    Hello Ben,

    The Fit File Repair Tool can do almost anything to repair or edit a file BUT there has to be some data to work with :)

    Attach your file with some instructions about what & where you want the file fixed.

    Total Mileage error

    For some reason when I upload this file, it shows total mileage at over 211, when the actual mileage should be 206.30

    Can anyone suggest how I can fix this - BTW I use a Mac.

    Please download a fixed version of your recording from https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/91455145/2015-07-11-04-25-14-fixed.fit.
    I re-calculated all distance values based on the recorded GPS positions using Fit File Repair Tool version 7.0.
    I also removed some corrupted speed data (speed values above 100 mph).
