Corrupt FIT File Repair Requests

Hi,

I would like to load this file into any software, but all of them tell me that it cannot be imported.
For some reason the file is not working (the watch ran out of battery while it was tracking the hike), but I would really like to have it.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

  • Corrupt Fit File from today's ride / Any help is appreciated

Could someone help with this fit file please? It seems the ride was somehow saved as a "course." I didn't use the course feature during the ride. Thanks for any help. Tom

Need help -my first run on Fenix2 and not able to upload. I'm assuming it's corrupted (have had the Fenix 2 for less than a day..) Can you please run this through the tool and let me know.
  • Xiermail,

Nothing wrong with the file, Garmin Connect is not working for many people today. I uploaded your file to Strava in my account to see if ti was OK and it uploaded fine, 4 mile run, average pace 11:03. Just wait for GC to get fixed, or sign up for Strava.

    Hi Guys

Im having lots of problems with Fenix2. The last was a corrupt fit file made today. I can see it in the watch and apparently the problema was it invented a last register with 44km ( made a marathon). Can anyone solve this. I would appreciate you help. I attched a link to a dropbox with the file

    hi Sergio,

I am not understanding the issue you are having with your file? The distance, when I open it with the Fit File Repair Tool, is showing as 42.78km.

    cheers

    Hi Mike,

How do upload the .fit file from the activity so I can send to you?

    Thanks

    Mark

    hi Mark,

    1. attach your unit to your computer
    2. click 'reply' to this post and once the 'quick reply' window appears, scroll down and click on 'go advanced'.
    3. in the new window, scroll down again until you see 'manage attachments', click on it
    4. in the new window, click on 'add files', wait a second or two and then click on 'select files'
    5. browse to the 'activities' folder on your Edge and click on the .fit file you want to attach
    6. click on 'upload files', it should appear in the bottom half of the 'manage attachments' window.
    7. click on 'done' and then close the 'manage attachments' window.
    8. click on submit reply and there you have it - don't forget to add any text in the 'your message' part

    cheers

    hi Tmiller,

You had a small amount of corrupted data in your file that I was able to resolve using the Fit File Repair Tool. It should now upload fine as an 'activity'.

    Give this file a try.

    cheers

    Hi Mike

Thanks for your help. What i meant was that i thought the file was corrupt since i could not upload it via garmin connect (always error), and if i check the run in the history menu of the fenix 2 it gives me a run of 85.53km >(see photo 2), and in fact the correct value is 42,78 as you can see . There is a Lap 44 in the register that i cant understand (photo 3) I thought that was the problem.... Nevertheless i tried to upload manualy to "my garmin" and it worked fine with teh correct km value. I think something is very wrong with the fenix 2...
Many thanks again for your help it was precious for mee to understand that the file was not ruined.
