Corrupt FIT File Repair Requests

Former Member
Former Member

Hi,

I would like to load this file into any software, but all of them tell me that it cannot be imported.
For some reason the file is not working (the watch ran out of battery while it was tracking the hike), but I would really like to have it.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

    Hello Racer,

On my 310 I have noticed that if keep moving when it is searching for satellites it can take forever.
What works best and quickly is to stay in one place.
So....I am guessing here....but maybe all you needed to do was just stop for a minute to let your 500 get a satellite lock again.

Also that way you do not have a dead section with no coordinates in your ride.

    hi ColdT,

Fit File Repair Tool couldn't find any issues with your file and I was able to get exported version of it to upload to GC without any issues so FFRT may have subtlety fixed something.

    Give this file a try.

    cheers

    hi John,

*NOTE* I have read that there are currently issues with uploading to GC due to a time zone change somewhere in the world? I may have been lucky in getting it to upload so I guess patience until the time zone issue is resolved is now needed.

    Give this file a try.

    cheers

    Mike,

Thanks, no joy uploading the fixed file. I'll wait until tomorrow when the timezone changes are passed. Though in this day and age Garmin ought to be able to develop software that can cope with predictable events like timezones and summer time. Poor show Garmin.

    Thanks, John

    hi Mark,

You can either purchase and download the Fit File Repair Tool and do the repair yourself or you can upload the .fit file from the activity and one of us who has the full version of FFRT can do it for you.

    cheers
