Corrupt FIT File Repair Requests

Hi,

I would like to load this file into any software, but all of them tell me that it cannot be imported.
For some reason the file is not working (the watch ran out of battery while it was tracking the hike), but I would really like to have it.

Any ideas?

    Additional side questions: Is it possible to turn these files into a file that Numbers (Mac version of a spreadsheet application) can open. If so, how?

    hi PTTthelma,

    No the file didn't attach properly - try this,

    1. attach your unit to your computer
    2. click 'reply' to this post and once the 'quick reply' window appears, scroll down and click on 'go advanced'.
    3. in the new window, scroll down again until you see 'manage attachments', click on it
    4. in the new window, click on 'add files', wait a second or two and then click on 'select files'
    5. browse to the 'activities' folder on your Edge and click on the .fit file you want to attach
    6. click on 'upload files', it should appear in the bottom half of the 'manage attachments' window.
    7. click on 'done' and then close the 'manage attachments' window.
    8. click on submit reply and there you have it - don't forget to add any text in the 'your message' part :)

    Give this .fit file a try.

    And, fingers crossed, this .csv file will import into your spreadsheet app.

    hi Luke,

    It looks like your Edge500 lost GPS lock and when it reacquired the lock it jumped you into 2018! An easy fix for the Fit File Repair Tool.

    Anyways, give this file a try.

    Hey there Mike,
    Wow, you are so kind to respond so quickly. Your instructions to upload a file was perfect. Unfortunately it appears my fit file is too large (the max is 5.0MB, mine is 6.3MB). Do you have any other suggestions for me to attach the file? Many thanks!

    So I did a 300km ride yesterday (the longest I've ever ridden) and for whatever reason only half of the ride is showing up :-(. When I look at the 'History' section on my Garmin 500 the full stats of the ride are there, but when I connect my device to my computer the full ride isn't showing up.

    If anyone could help me fix my file I would appreciate it soooo much!
