Corrupt FIT File Repair Requests

Former Member
Former Member

Hi,

I would like to load this file into any software, but all of them tell me that it cannot be imported.
For some reason the file is not working (the watch ran out of battery while it was tracking the hike), but I would really like to have it.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

My fit file is NOT corrupted, but it contains some bad GPS data. In the middle of a ride the 500 unit lost satellite and some wonky data was recorded (time: 3:38). Obviously, satellites came back. It would be nice to remove the bad data to see if the ride can be properly snapped to the road. It would be nice to see the VAM and other stats on a certain website.

    Thank you.

    Corrupted Time Data

    Hi
I'm having a problem uploading a fit file. The autofix didn't appear to work and i've really not got any idea how to manually repair it. Strava say's it's 'corrupted time data'.
    I'd appreciate any help.

    Hello Steve,

Part way thru Lap20 your Fenix lost satellites and jumped the date into the future to 2019.
You lost the last 2 laps+/-.

So....here ya go. Fixed with the Fit File Repair Tool.

Thanks so much for that DATEZZ. I really appreciate it. Do you know of a good site that can give me a little guide on how to edit and repair the files?

    Hello Stephen,

FIT Files are impossible to work on with out special programs.

The very best software IMHO is the "Fit File Repair Tool". http://fitfilerepairtool.info/download/

The software allows you complete control over the data and file structure. Well worth the money for the Full Program.

    hi Stephen,

Totally agree with what Don (DATEZZ) said - FFRT is THE best tool for repairing corrupt .fit files and the developer is constantly working on improving it.

There are a couple of us here (like myself and Don) who are MORE than happy to repair corrupt .fit files if you decide not to purchase your own copy.

    cheers

  • Hello,
I need some help. After several hours of reading posts, I'm glad to come across this one.
I use an iMac and Garmin Connect seems to get stuck on uploading one of my 910xt fit files below, even after a manual upload.
This is my first post so I don't even know if I properly attached the file below. Very frustrating. Can someone please advise?
