Corrupt FIT File Repair Requests

Hi,

I would like to load this file into any software, but all of them tell me that it cannot be imported.
For some reason the file is not working (the watch ran out of battery while it was tracking the hike), but I would really like to have it.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Thank you so much!! I put in a really big effort that day, glad to "see it" rather then just feel it.

    Hello Saubo,

The corruption was very minor and the data seems to be all okay.

So....here ya go. Fixed with the Fit File Repair Tool.

Hello Don - sorry that i'm a rookie here and recently acquired an Edge 500. My activities seemed recorded and i can see my last one (3/12) on my activities screen but when i uploaded the file onto Strava, the data did not show correctly. Hope you will be able to advise me on this..
    Thanks,
    Ryan

    Hello Ryan,

Your files are not corrupt. The data appears to be just fine in both files when loaded into Garmin Connect.

These appear to be rides done on an indoor trainer where you forgot to turn off the GPS on your 500.
Owners manual page 42, Training Indoors.

The time and coordinates might be completely wrong because the 500 could not get a good satellite lock.
Or it got satellites and the gps distance plot is very short and looks like a small bunch of squiggly lines.

    I do not use Strava.
I did run your files thru The Fit File Repair Tool so try loading the "fixed" files and see what you get.

btw, i just loaded the fixed file for 3-12 and Strava only shows .3 mile of work which is very odd since 1 of the 2 files (3-8) has shown correct data and the 3-12 has bigger size (24K) than the 3-8 (22K) in my computer folder. I'm confused!! Sorry for the trouble...i guess i have to try direct connect to Garmin to see what happen then.

    Hello Russell,

Sorry, There is very little data and it is not corrupt. You started your 510 and 4 seconds later it stopped recording.
Are you using "auto pause"? If yes then your cadence sensor might be the cause. It lost cadence and thought you were stopped.
Then 2 hours later the cadence sensor started and recorded 7 seconds of data, then cadence went to zero and there is no more data.
The 510 logged 70km of distance but did not record any trackpoints.
You were approximately 4km from where you started when that last 7 seconds of data was recorded.

So....here ya go. Fixed with the Fit File Repair Tool.

The graphs and data are bogus but at least you will have a record that you rode 70+ km on Mar 29.

I had a big issue with my new Fenix2 watch ...:(
Bad reporting of the moving time in GC ... http://connect.garmin.com/activity/470888836 ... then bad graphs (speed, HR,...)
I got the "lost satellite" message during a ride for few seconds, and after inspection in the GPX file, the date stored at the time where I got the message is "april 2019" !
If someone here could repair the FIT file for me, it would be great !
    Thank you in advance.
