Import of .tcx files freezes half way through

I always import the training I do on my TACX trainer (TACX films to be exact) via .tcx files to Garmin Connect. About three weeks ago this just stopped working. On the import screen, the blue ribbon starts to grow but at random points it freezes. I have tried with several files in both Chrome and MS Edge. No changes in the creation of the files. Chrome is updated to latest version.
Exporting the same activity from Strava, to which TACX software automatically uploads to, using GPX and importing into GC works but does not give me all data. (Oh, think, if there was an automatic sync between GC and Strava - no more manual uploads!)
Please help! This is seriously annoying since I use GC as my primary training statistics source.

    Thanks!

However, running a Perl-script is not a fix, it's a workaround with a rubbish UI. Garmin should fix the problem with the upload mechanism instead.

I have now also tested the solution above. Does not work. The upload hangs after a while at random point in time.

So, since this is not working I have now exported my training as GPX from Strava and uploaded them instead to GC. I don't get all data but have to add the important data manually afterwards. This has worked even though it's a very annoying solution. Today I did the same with a fairly large GPX file from Strava (4.1MB) and the GC upload hangs! :(
  • I have the same issue and did a request to solve the problem but still NO answer.
