  • It´s easy:
    • The badges only count since they have been introduced (middle of 2018)
    • A HM is measured 21.10km and it only counts if it was recorded properly this length or more. Might been 1-10 Meters to less.
    • A Marathon is measured 42,2km and not 42,195. And same rules like HM.

There is one easy trick to receive badges for older activities. Try editing the name of the activity. I managed to receive a bunch for some very old activities this way. Doesn't work for multisport activities, though.
  • Nice to know!
As far as i knew, in the past you had to download, delete and upload the activity manually. But this seems much easier. And explains, why I receive the badge notification multiple times, after every change (rename, selecting different shoes, switch to "training", etc.).

I think you are wrong :o .... I have some badges older than mid 2018 and is quite easy to know that when you run a long distance like marathon and half marathon the gap shouldn't be around 10 meters... I run NYC and Berlin (2 of the six international's major) and both have a longer distance.

Anyway if you see my badges you can see that they appear in some activity that have a different distance

Last things: if a Marathon is not 42,195 long that means that Garmin changed the Internationals rules but I'm quite sure it's not like you say ;)
