Myfittnesspal not connecting with Connect. Why?

So I started using Garmin Connect today to monitor the activity of my Vivoactive HR watch. I use myfittnesspal to track caloric intake. But no matter what I try, I cannot connect Myfittnesspal to Garmin connect. Connect says that it is connected to the Myfittnesspal (MFP) app, but MFP says that it is not connected and is receiving no data from Connect. Any ideas?
