My dad has got a Garmin nuvi 1490 and when it powers on, the Garmin logo appears for a few seconds. After that, a green bar appears at the bottom left side of the screen but it seems frozen because after one second, the GPS reboots and the process starts again. The green bar does not fill up, it only shows a little bit, like a 1% of the full width.
I've replaced the battery so the problem is not related to it. I've also tried the process of touching the lower right corner of the screen but when the dialog asking to erase all data appears, after one second it disappears and reboots.
It's like if the battery was empty, but I've left it connected to the power for several hours.
Any idea on how to solve this?
