Original Sign in with Facebook, Can't find account email

I originally signed into the Garmin Connect Mobile App a year ago using Facebook. I am currently afraid to sign out of the mobile app because when trying to log in on another device, I see no Facebook option, and I don not know the email associated with my account. When I go to the Garmin connect website I am also NOT able to sign in with Facebook.

I would like to figure out how to sign in to the same account as a now have an entire years worth of data stored on it.

Is there a way to find the email attached to my facebook Garmin account or attach a new email while signed in to it? When I go to More > Settings > Profile and Privacy > Manage Garmin Account, it takes me to the website and tries to make me sign in...

Also is this the right spot to post this? Or should it have been in the mobile one?
  • What did you use to sign in here, as both my garmin connect account and this are identical logins using email, so i assume it's the same for other folk

    I had to create a new account to post to the forums.
  • If that is the case, then go to https://www.garmin.com click the profile icon in the top/right corner.

    With some luck you might already be logged in, so you can then go to your profile and see the logged in email being used.
    Otherwise, click on "forgot password" where it will step you thru the authentication process using a known (to Garmin) email address. You'll get a message stating "If the email address you entered matches one we have on file, we will send you a temporary password to access your account." If you hit on a good one, you'll get an email to that address with a recovery link. This should also be the same email used if you have ever registered your Garmin devices. If still no luck, then best bet will be to call Garmin support.

    Does the Garmin Connect Mobile App and the Desktop even sync? I guess I was under the assumption that whatever I see on my phone I would see on the computer, but is that necessarily the case?
  • Yes, that is the case, unless you've got multiple user accounts, one on GC on on GCM. With the same account on each you should see the same data.

    Something is weird then. I have two associated facebook emails. I used one to create and account here and did not see any data. When I tried resetting the other email I did not receive a notification. I even tried using my @facebook email and have gotten nothing.

    You would think they have to classify me as a user somehow right? Otherwise, how is my data being stored. Guess I just have to wait on hearing back from support.
  • You need to talk to someone that has admin access to look at your account issues. We can only guess here, so calling Garmin support should get everything sorted. Let us know how it goes.
