I am using an FR920XT and I would like to be able to create proper workouts for obstacle course racing.
Therefore my idea / request regards the definition of custom workouts. Looking at this type of workout it seems that it is just the same as a running workout. The steps and goals that can be created are exactly the same. But I'd like to be able to create workouts that also address the strength aspect of my sport. It would be nice if I could mix steps with a selected excercise (as available for strength workouts) and steps with a defined running goal in one and the same training activity.
I've tried the following to achieve a comparable effect but in the end it didn't work. I've defined on my FR920XT a custom strength activity type and created a multisport activity based on the running activitytype and on the custom strength activity type. This multisport activity type was: running -> strength -> running -> strength -> running. But there are two problems with this approach:
1. I can only put 5 activity types in a row which is not enough for a proper OCR workout. The limit of 5 is somehow not clear to me. removing it would also be a solution to my problem because then I could just start the activity (of this custom multisport activity type) on the watch and add the excercises when I have uploaded using garmin connect mobile
2. I cannot define training activities based on this custom multisport activity type.
