Display Steps for Activity

I timed an activity, Walking, and would like to display the steps? I can see calories and miles which are calculated from steps, but I don't seem to be able to display the actual steps?
There is an IQ app "Simply steps" which will display your steps assuming your device supports it and "Steps to Fit" which will display your steps and also post to Connect for you.
