As a happy owner of 6 devices for a decade now, I had minor issues with these. I could follow the development of Garmin Connect and the work behind performed by a development team... and this always been and it is still my biggest concern here! No suggestion was taken into consideration, very poor customer support received, and poor features implemented.
There are few issues worth to mention which still persist:
The unit of calories burnt has a wrong unit assigned.
Recovery heart rate appears only on device, it is not a datafield in GC.
The graph for pool swimming should be a histogram. Looks like developers have no idea what it means and how it should look like.
Garmin silently replaced usernames with email addresses, then they realized that email is a confidential information and must be coded. Must have been kind of stupid who approved this!
Long time ago, searching an activity on a map was a well functioning feature. Now you can only dream about it, while Strava has Heat-maps, View Flybys.
and at this point became Garmin from a leader to a slave... Everything what Strava does is now copied by Garmin...
On a 12month activities graph Garmin had an activity count, while Strava had a Weekly/Monthly time on Distance. What did Garmin? Changed it to a distance graph by month. How stupid!
Then came the only one Good change! Strava allowed to insert pictures to activities, then Garmin applied it too. Thank you for that!
What really knocked out my fuses, was the badges. Garmin again copied Strava on a most terrible way!
Who calculated and set up a score?
I won't describe it, the attached picture tells everything. And it is nothing against the user, it is about Garmin.
Yes, you may sit at home and became the user with the highest honored activity level. Congratulations Garmin, well done! ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1431979.jpg ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1431980.jpg
