Editing the Map

My Garmin died during a 50 mile race, which is not the problem. The problem is once charged and I turned it on at home, I had to stop the activity and my map shows a long red line from where my watch died to my home. Basically it is indicating I finished my activity at home. Can I edit the map at all?
