why retired gear in edit list

today retired gear show up in the list editing an activity

    I'm having the same problem as of last night.

    The drop-down menu to select gear (in this case shoes) for an activity now shows my entire list of current and retired gear.

    If I go to manage my gear, it correctly shows just the current gear on the Shoes page though.
  • Yes. This started happening last night. Chatting right now with Garmin support. They will be opening a ticket to resolve this issue...

    Garmin technician has entered the session.
    Me: When adding gear to an activity, all of my shoes show up, including retired shoes.
    Garmin: I just checked my account, and I see the same issue. That must have just started in the last day or two.
    Garmin: Let me see if there any tickets reported yet.
    Garmin: I dont see anything yet. I will create one and when it's resolved you will be notified by email. Since I can replicate the issue I won't need anything on your end. I will attach some screen shots of the issue from my account


    Update: On 11/21

    Garmin has entered the session.
    Me: When adding gear to an activity I see all of my shoes, including retired shoes. I've already reported this on 11/15, but the issue persists and I never received a confirmation email.
    Garmin: Garmin has submitted a ticket about this and Garmin's software team is aware of the issue and will be fixing it with future updates. It typically can take 1-3 weeks to resolve an issue like this. I see your account is on the ticket, so you will be emailed when the fix has been pushed to Connect.

    I'm having the same problem. this is the 2nd thread I've seen on it but have not seen a resolution to the issue. Can I make the retired shoes not appear on my list of gear options for each workout without removing the retired gear from my gear list all-together?
  • Yes, and this has been reported to Garmin support.
