Same problem here, frustrating! My power meter had an off the charts reading back in March which set my FTP at 383 Watts and 5.07W/kg. I deleted the recorded ride with the spike but the Garmin app did nog…
Same here! +1
i am not 100% sure, if this helps, but you can delete wrong records in the new power curve menue:
I have done that (FTP now set to 241W on my Edge 520) but I can't find a way to delete historical records of 400W....?
I love my new FTP of 1430 Watts and 18 W/Kg! I just contacted a pro team and asked them where my contract was. :-
same problem here, are you discovery how to fix ?
The only way I could change my FTP was to perform a ftp test on my garmin edge 520 (goto my stats>ftp). I also enabled auto (ftp) calculation. Note you need to be wearing a chest HRM and have a connected power meter for it to work.
You should be able to change it on your Garmin device directly. Instructions for doing that would be in the manual for your device. For the 910XT it is in Mode > Settings > Bike Settings > [Bike] > Power Zones. For the 510 it is in Training Zones > Power.
For the edge 520 it is my stats>training zones>Power Zones>FTP: xxx watts
I already do that and not change my previous wrong ftp (use HRM pro + fr 945 + vector 3 ), I want delete old wrong data from my in Garmin connect web it is possible ?
Sorry can't help. Wait 12 months and it'll disappear.
This just happened to me today. Easy to fix User profile - Power Zones - cycling -FTP type in the correct value then sync and all should be good.;
But it is not the case :> This topic is about situation when NEW FTP has been detected during the ride and registered to GC...but has some crazy Value e.g because Power Meter was not calibrated correctly- or Power Meter has low battery level... in this case even when you want to ignore this new FTP after ride... it will not happened fully.
There should be some option in GC to exclude by FORCE unwanted treining from FTP statistics, as this wrong data are visible on historical FTP plots.
