Garmin Connect Not Working Under Firefox Browser

Since last Saturday (October 20, 2018), I have not been able to log in to Garmin Connect using the Firefox browser. When I click on the "Sign in" icon, the page that comes up does not contain the box where Username and Password are entered.

I am posting this from the Chrome browser, because when I opened Garmin Forums with Firefox, I wasn't allowed to Login. The Login option was grayed out.

Was an update made to Garmin Connect in the past week? If so, did you test it against Firefox?
  • Works for me (Firefox 63 -- 64-bit, Windows 10). Have you tried Safe Mode?

Hamburger menu > Help > Restart with Addons Disabled
  • Thanks!
That made the "Garmin Account Sign In" box appear for Garmin Connect, and the "Login" option for Garmin Forums is dark, too, so I can select it.

Do you think this means I got an updated add-on that caused my problem?

I'm not sure how to debug this.
  • No worries!

You'll have to go to the Addons list (Menu > Addons) and either:
    - Click "More" for each one, and see which one(s) were updated recently, and disable them
    or
    - Disable each one, one at a time and test GC
  • Hey, if you haven't found the problematic extension yet, looks like it's probably "McAfee Web Advisor". I would uninstall McAfee completely and stick with Windows Defender, which is more than good enough for blocking threats..
  • Thank you WillNorthYork!
I have had the same problem of blank pages since late sometime between 15 and 19 October 2018. I tried all sorts and Garmin Connect (and Garmin forums) were the only websites that were affected.
All I could see was the page header and footer... note there is an interesting wrinkle in that the copyright text on the footer on both says 1996 - 2014 NOT the correct / current footer of 2014-2018. This was noticed by the Garmin Twitter stream people. They didnt have a solution but thought it might be a mizilla issue.
I didnt see any updates to anything major but I am going to have to go through the add ons 1 by 1 to fiind the villain (I have multiple security apps / ad blockers running)ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1419121.png
  • I am having all sorts of problems with Firefox 63 crashing at the moment. It's not just GC but I think I have narrowed it down to pages with embedded (google?) maps. I have had issues with GC, Strava, Runalyze and Stryd Powercenter. All of these run fine on Chrome. I keep sending the bug reports on Firefox so hopefully it will get picked up and fixed at some point.
  • I'm not having issues with any Web pages I've loaded since starting this thread, except Garmin Connect and Garmin Forums. I don't think it's Firefox, but rather something that Garmin did with the login page.
