Corrupt fit-file? How to fix?

Hi there!

My device is syncing, but my latest activity does not show up in GC. Manual upload to the activity-list stucks without error message.

What app do I have to use to open file? Any ideas to get this fixed are welcome! :-D

  • Hello Mike, could you please look at my fit file too. It is a triathlon I've done last weekend. Thank you.

Mike, you are a wizard! And you are a generous guy for helping me, and all of these other people, out with our corrupt files. Thank you for your time and expertise. Cheers!

Worked for me as well. Thank you very much. Do you recommend to delete the corrupted file from my device and replace it with the fixed one? I already downloaded it into my GC so it shows in my activities, but I would like to retain my stats in the watch.

PCMac_Genius - there is a finite amount of storage space on your watch so would highly recommend regularly clearing any older activities that have already been uploaded to GC. But if you wish to keep that specific activity on your device then yes, replace the corrupt one with the fixed one. It won't make any difference to the stats on the watch as they are derived from when you finish an activity and a kept in a separate part of the device.

jpbeltmann - all I can tell you is that something is triggering extended Timer Start / Stop events.

Note that the summary data was missing from the file which Golden Cheetah most likely rebuilt when you exported the file.

You can give this file a try if you like - there are no timestamps removed and FFRT rebuilt the summary file.

    cheers
