Corrupt fit-file? How to fix?

Hi there!

My device is syncing, but my latest activity does not show up in GC. Manual upload to the activity-list stucks without error message.

What app do I have to use to open file? Any ideas to get this fixed are welcome! :-D

    Good morning, my last ride for 2018 has just failed to upload, can anyone work some magic on it please so i can upload it. Thank you in advance.

  • Anyone able to help? My wifes activity isn't uploading. According to manual upload on Strava its a time fault, but even after fixing that it still won't seem to work. Any help much appreciated!

    Hope you don't don't mind, but I've seen you helping a lot of people out with their corrupt files. I have ran into this issue with a Garmin 510 recently and was wondering if you would be able to have a look at the two attached files and see if there was any way of fixing?

    hi Campbell,

    Your first file contain no data at all and your second file only had 36 seconds worth of data contained in it.

    How many completed and uploaded activities have you still got sitting on your device? If it's any more than a months worth, then consider archiving the older ones off to a folder on your computer.

    Otherwise it may be time to consider doing a factory reset on your device but before you conduct the factory, have a read of this link.

    Thanks Mike. I have only recently done a factory reset on the device so there are very few files stored on the unit. We used it for another ride again today and it all synced fine, however just don't want it to happen again in the future. Thanks for trying!
