Groups and challenges

I wanted to join a group that had other walkers. And I thought joining a challenge there would be fun, especially with the badges. But after I joined a few groups, none of them had challenges and some appeared to have been abandoned by the leader. So I created one. And I'm unable to start a challenge, either. THere's no link to add it under the group's challenge tab. And if I go to the Chalenges tab of garmin connect, it says "To create a group challenge, become an administrator for one of your existing groups or create a new group." But I am the owner of a group.

I have the same issues / problem. I want to create a group challenge, but cannot find a way to do it, even though I am the group owner. Can anyone help?

I found same issue, But I guess in group must have minimum member before create challenge.

Hi everybody!

This problem was reported 1 year ago now. I have the same and my group has around 50 people in it. Anybody found a solution yet?

When you go to Challenges and click Create Challenge on the Web program does it give you the option to challenge contacts or groups? Mine does.

It only gives me the option to challenge my contacts, sadly.

You have to create a group and invite members (if you set it up as by invitation only) before you can start a challenge that includes the group.

Yes, exactly. A group where you are alone is not a group, it is still just you, so it makes sense that no challenge can be started. In the moment there is at least one other person joining, it becomes a true group, and you will be able to add challenges.

Thank you that worked perfectly! It would be nice if it worked in the app, but at least you can see them once created. Cheers!

Thank you! I've been trying to do this for ages...

Real shame Garmin couldn't simply comment to say - "this function must be set up via Garmin Connect web interface"
