When importing a GPX file without HR data, it shows up without any HR information although the data is there in Connect.
It would be great if the HR data could automatically be added/merged to the imported GPX track.
mbirth I know this is not exactly what you want, but I guess you could try:
1) Exporting your all day HR to FIT. (Unfortunately you only get one-minute averages.)
2) Converting your TCX to GPX: https://www.gpsies.com/convert.do
3) Merging the TCX and FIT here:

(I have no idea if it'll properly sync up with the timestamps tho)
Newer watches such as Fenix 5, 935, and 645 sample HR once per second in 24/7 mode, but there's some controversy about how much of that is actually stored/available on Garmin Connect. Garmin claims all the data (86400 seconds per day) is recorded, but in practice, people have only been able to retrieve one-minute averages

I agree, this would be very helpful.
When I’m manually adding an activity after the fact and if I was wearing my Fenix 5, Garmin Connect should offer to consider the available wrist-based HR data instead of no data at all.
Any opinions on this?
