Gear Not Syncing Correctly

My running shoes are automatically connected to each of the runs I do. I have all the activities listed on the gear on the app and on the website. However, the number of miles is not adding up correctly. The website and app for the running gear says that I have 47 activities for a total of 130.6 miles. It should be 192.77 by adding up all the activities. Why is this happening?

Have you made the effort of searching the forum for this issue? Because by now there are about a dozen threads discussing this phenomenon.

As to "why is this happening", the answer is because it's broken currently, that's why.

Ok it isn't broken completely, it just needs a little kick, and here's what i've found works:

On the desktop version of connect open the latest activity you used your shoes on, remove the shoes from the activity, refresh the page (this saves the activity), add the shoes back to the activity, refresh the page again.

Now go check the total mileage for those shoes and you should find it correct.

since I've done this on my bike & cycling shoes everything has worked fine

Is there an update on this Garmin Support, we can only do the above workaround for so long!!!
