Wattbike -> Strava -> Garmin Connect?!

Hey guys,

I just started at a new gym and have been doing wattbike classes.

I am recording my HRM through the bike and using the wattbike hub app to record all of this data.

I have connected my strava account up to my wattbike hub and can see that this information does pull through from wattbike.

My issue now is that garmin does not pick up this information at all.

What can I do? I want to have my "training status" updated with all exercise, not just things I record directly through the garmin watch/connect.

It seems madness to have to record on my watch as well as my bike separately, and then I would end up with two activities showing on my strava.
  • Record activity on your Garmin device. Strava prevents duplicates.
  • If I do this will I be able to connect my HRM through the wattbike and my fenix watch at the same time?
  • This is driving me nuts haha
  • I have a similar issue with home based wattbike atom. I can upload to Strava from the Wattbike hubb and even though my Strava account is linked to Garmin, I see no new information in my Garmin account. Other users have told me that recording data via my Garmin watch and the Wattbikehub can generate anomolies in the distance and speed, also I'd have to "start" my ride on my watch at the same time as I start on the wattbikehub, not very 21st century. Surely the best way(s) would be 1) Link directly between Wattbike hub and garmin or make the link from Strava to Garmin a 2 way thing. Garmin has for years been my primary tool but looks as though Garmin are going to force my move to Strava.....
  • Use tapiriik to sync from Strava to Garmin Connect
  • How? I cant find Garmin Connect among the "send activities to..." in the Strava configuration.

  • This thread is a while ago, but I think the solution is to download the TCX file from Wattbike and then manually upload to Garmin Connect. A long way round but at least it gives you all the data.

  • I was wondering how to get power, speed and cadence from Wattbike to Garmin connect without Wattbike hub app and Wattbike instructions were a bit vague. Basically I first verified that ANT channel was configured correctly as instructed in Wattbike instructions. I didn't have to change anything. Then while Wattbike was on I opened sensors & accessories on my Garmin watch and added "Spd/Cad - 12345" and "Pwr - 12345" sensors and started the session. The five number ID: 12345 is located on the bottom of the main screen. There are a lot of sensors available at the gym so I would check the ID carefully before pairing.

    I hope this helps!
