Changed Garmin Connect Run Data -> How to Push to Watch?

New garmin user and finished 10k race this morning. I changed the garmin connect run data to reflect the actual distance and timing...

But how do I get this updated run data push to my 5X? I have synched with the Garmin Connect Mobile and hardwired / synch to Garmin Connect - but my watch still shows the old data. I also restarted - but no luck. :/
  • Sync doesn’t work that way with Garmin. Most things only sync one way.

Tbh I don’t see the value of syncing the run back to your watch as it won’t affect records, totals or training metrics. But here’s the method if you really want to. (It can also be used to transfer activity history from one watch to another.)

    - export the activity FIT file from the Garmin Connect website. Activity > Gear icon > Export original
    - Connect your watch to PC with USB cable
    - open the \garmin\activities folder on your watch. This folder contains FIT files for all the activities in your watch’s history
    - delete the old activity if you want (find it by the date/time on the file)
    - copy the exported file to this folder
  • Thanks WillNorthYork!

I thought I was doing something wrong with the synch.

Originally I was thinking this might affect the Recovery or Training Load with a slight difference in distance (less than 1 mile difference) - but it isn't worth changing the FIT Files for me. (I might accidentally cause another issue, etc).
