Renamed activity WON'T update ...

When I try to rename an activity it doesn't update across the entire Garmin Connect platform ... In some areas it's updated and in other areas (activity feed etc.) it remains as the default heading ABC CITY NAME ACTIVITY ... why?
  • Same here: worked fine as of last Thursday, but did a run Saturday, renamed it in the Android app and it shows up fine.
GarminConnect web home page, and activities page, I'm seeing the generic name and event type, but when I open the actual activity it's 100% fine with the custom name and event type I tagged from the app. Renaming and tagging from the website makes no difference. Seems that the activity-list service is storing it's data separately to the activity details, and while the details are fine, the main list is out of sync.

  • Yep seeing the same here since the weekend

In connect using Firefox , selecting an activity and changing the title does not work for me. This started on 21/9/18.
  • I have been experiencing the same problem for the same time. I'm in Google Chrome with the problem. Tried deleting and reloading. It has happened now for multiple activities.

Same, both in the browser (Safari) and GCM (iOS). Started a few days ago.
  • Same problem for me, tested in chrome, firefox, android app. The name is changed when I open the activity, but viewing from the landing page or the list of past activity page shows the activity default name. Any idea how to elevate this bug so the devs will notice?
  • They already know. There are other threads on this subject.

They know but they don't seem to care.
This is ridiculous and is what you get when you hire developers that don't seem to understand basic concepts of relational databases.
    *sigh*
  • Actually it's no just titles. If you edit an activity, distance for example, it's only reflected in the activity view, but not anywhere else. And this is nothing to do with the developers. First of all Garmin project and product managers suck. They don't care about the quality of their product. Instead of inventing the useless budges, they'd rather do regression testing before each update.
