Sleep time : some unaccounted time

Hi, for the last few weeks I can see that there is some time that is not accounted at all in my total time.
have you seen this before ?
Apparently there is a state which is not sleeping nor being awake :) ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1405477.jpg
  • That all adds up correctly:

33+55+28=116 minutes = 1hour 56minutes + 5 hours = 6 hours 56 minutes of sleep which is what that is saying I've never seen this REM sleep before
  • Yet something is wrong. Look at the graph. Fall asleep time is 23:09. Wake-up time is 7:09. This should give 8 hours, not 6:56. Notice the black gaps in the graph which probably account for the missing 1 hour.

gotcha, i was looking at the actual numbers themselves which all add up correctly, hadn't noticed the go to sleep & wake up times
  • Yes that's the 1h gap that I am talking about...
  • The sleep analysis is pretty weak if you ask me. Once or twice I've got up and gone for a run at 3am in the morning (if I can't sleep), and then gone back to bed for a couple of hours, after my run. Garmin Sleep never recognises this. It's just an algorithm that needs to be updated - come on Garmin.
